List of Rules
1. No acts of violence upon other people and animals.
Our society does not believe in any type of violence. We respect each other and the animals that live around us as well.

2. No stealing.
All other sins are just a variation of stealing, which is forbidden on our island.
Example:
When kill you a man, you steal his life. You steal his wife's right to a husband and rob his children of a father.
When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth.
When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness. Etc.

3. Every citizen has their freedom of: speech, press, assembly, and petition.
All of our citizens deserve these rights. Everyone is treated equally and is given equal rights.

4. Every citizen also has their freedom of religion, but excessively promoting your religion is forbidden.
Although freedom of religion is a basic right, no citizen has the right to force anybody to follow their religion.

5. No citizen is allowed to have possession of weapons; guns, etc.
Since there are no acts of violence allowed in our society, there would be no reason for anyone to have possession of weapons.

6. No littering, place trash in correct bins.
Dolphin Island Paradise is an eco-friendly society. Therefore, it is important that our citizens know the importance of conserving our resources.

7. Immigrants must have a 6 month waiting period before becoming a citizen of Dolphin Island Paradise.
The waiting period is necessary to guarantee that new residents will become loyal citizens to our society.

8. One must do a certain amount community service based on the severity of his/her crime. If one breaks the rule the second time, they must attend Life Skills 101 to learn from their mistakes.
Consequences must be given to people who break rules. Therefore two chances are given to the rule breaker to learn from his/her mistake(s).

9. When one breaks a rule for the third time, he/she will also be exiled from Dolphin Island Paradise.
Two chances are given to each citizen. Once it’s his/her third strike, they’re off of the island.

10. Once you are exiled, you may never come back to Dolphin Island Paradise.
If you are exiled from our island, there are no chances for you to come back.

Governing Body
The government of Dolphin Island Paradise is a complete democracy. Suffrage is given to all citizens and they vote on every issue. Citizens include all those born on the island over the age of 16 as well as those who immigrated to our nation and have been loyal well behaved residents for six months. At birth or when one becomes a citizen, each person is assigned an electronic voting machine that is used to vote on every new upcoming issue. Even though it is a complete democracy, our nation has one person, the president, who in a case of emergency can act as a leader and make quick decisions. As well as having a president the citizens elect cabinet members. The cabinet members do not hold a vast amount of power they are merely citizens with vast amounts of knowledge with in their particular fields and able to lead those involved. These cabinet positions range from secretary of weather control to secretary of commerce. Each citizen is given the same salary but there is no issue pertaining to lack of incentive because each citizen wants to create a better society for their friends, their families, and themselves. From these salaries the citizens are taxed heavily but the money all comes back to them in the form of free health care, education, housing and retirement funds. Our society is also eco-friendly; we mainly use passive solar energy, compost and exert little trash which is used to run our motor vehicles. We have a vast transportation system which consist teleportation, public bikes, ferry boats, motor vehicles, and chair lifts. Choice of transportation is dependent on each citizen; they use whatever is more convenient for them. Overall the people of our society is in charge.

National Animal
Besides the reason that our island is densely populated with Dolphins, they are our national animal because they are thought to be one of the most intelligent and beautiful creatures in the oceans. Dolphins and humans have a history of positive interaction with one another. In our oceans, dolphins interact with swimmers and divers in a very playful fashion: swimming closely, nosing around and even offering a lift when a person gently grabs onto the dorsal fin. We believe that humans are the first mammals to evolve, and others will follow. Dolphins and chimpanzees show the biggest potential. We regularly interact with them and treat them as equal.

Daily Itinerary
8:00 wake up
9:00 school starts (elementary, middle, high, and university); work starts( it ranges from teachers, inventors, biologists and many more)
12:00 Lunch begins
2:00 Lunch ends
4:00 School ends
4:30 After school activities begin (sports, art, music etc.)
5:00 work ends
7:00 most families have dinner
8:00 Some sort of relaxation like TV etc.
10:00 bedtime

Dear Traci, 2/12

I have just received your letter. I’m happy to hear the kids are doing well. The pictures you sent are wonderful but I can’t even recognize them anymore. They have grown so much and it’s been too long since I’ve seen you all. I miss you all so much. When do the kids go on break from school? When they do, why don’t you guys take a break from work too and visit us. You’ve planning to visit for a while now and spring break is the perfect time to visit. I think it’s a terrific idea and you know you are all welcome to stay with us. I don’t know why you guys just don’t move to the island. I know I always rave about the island but I can’t stop myself. I am definitely sure that on the day you arrive, you will never want to go back home.

Just thinking about you all visiting is so exciting to me, I’m already making a list of activities we should do when you visit. You may be a little surprised about how things work here but I’m sure you will learn to love it just as I did. Have I told you about the Trilobis 65, the new part-yacht, part-submarine beach house? Louis may get it as a bonus from his work. He’s been doing so well at work and it will be his third time getting his name on the National Statue of Achievement. I guess you could say it is equivalent of the Noble Prize over there. "It’s nice to see his work appreciated" he always says. He deserves it for all those times he is in his work room playing around with all sorts of gadgets. With the Trilobis 65, we will all be able to see the deep ocean; one of the greatest mysteries of the world will be unrevealed. I bet the kids will enjoy it; it will be entertaining and educating. Oh! You know what else they would enjoy, playing around with weather control, it’s definitely not a toy but I had plenty of fun using it when I first discovered it. Everything here is just so fascinating.

I know how you get so crazy about everything keeping the environment safe, well that’s like a mission here on Dolphin Island. Remember in our college years we spent 2 days in that old tree by campus so they can’t cut it. I just laugh out loud thinking about it. Oh! That also reminds me, I will send you this amazing garbage disposer that fuels energy to your home. We just got it installed. I can’t stress enough about how much I miss you and how much I want you to visit! Remember how I told you about all the beautiful places we have to see together, we will actually get the chance to do so when visit. Well I’ll wrap it up here, and tell the kids I said hi.

Dear Journal,

Today was great I got the message from the committee on immigration that I will be able to become a citizen. I have an appointment to make it official next Wednesday. Besides that great news my day was pretty normal. I woke up at 8:00 and then took the chair lift to work. It’s great because it comes right to my front door, is always there (as apposed to the buses I was used to back in China which only come every so often), and it stops right outside the harbor where I work. I am a marine biologist that is probably the main reason why I was accepted into the country. I work alongside the dolphins making sure their population remains stable and their environment is kept healthy. If there is a problem I let the weather committee know. Today I went snorkeling and mostly just exploring in the ocean. After a days work I went home and just relaxed. I live on the very warm tropical part of the island and tonight the sunset was beautiful. Since coming to this island I feel like I have relieved so much stress. I have a great view of the water because I live at the top of a cliff that overlooks the ocean. I am so happy to become a citizen of this country and be involved in this process.

Hey there, it’s me Crystal just updating on what’s been happening lately.
Last week was my retirement party and all my old friends and family came to celebrate. It is a time of reflection for me and looking back I have no regrets. Throughout my life I’ve helped our nation with all sorts of social work. I’ve watched this island develop from a bare land into the most magnificent place I’ve ever seen. When I immigrated to the island, I was just a young girl with no family and nothing to lose. With nothing to live for, I had no motivation and life was meaningless. But once I became comfy and adjusted on the island, I just felt different. The community around me lived life to the fullest and the attitude they held was truly genuine. The motto they lived by deeply inspired me. “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” The society striven to be the best but not in an economic or political way. They valued quality of life and happiness more than the rest. On the island, creative thinking and new ideas are always welcome. We don’t just settle with one way of doing things instead we’re always looking for something better and more interesting. Throughout my life, I made sure every single voice of our citizens was heard. I am proud of all the accomplishments done by our nation. With everyone’s contribution, this place is definitely the greatest place on earth.

On the note of my retirement, I can’t wait to do everything I haven’t got the chance to do. I will soon post a list of things I MUST do before I kick the bucket. One thing I want to do for sure is this !

SKYDIVING, doesn't that look amazing? I may be 61 but I still got the spirit I had when I was 21. That's what Dolphin Island does to you. Isn't it great?

Dear Blog,
This whole week has been raining. Mom tells me a little rain is good for the harvest and that we can't have sunshine all the time. But thankfully today was a beautiful sunny day, I guess everyone got a little blue from all the rain like me. I woke up at 8AM and I got ready for school. My mom dropped me off at school where we learned more about the aquatic animals and the importance of recycling. After school, my mom picked me up and we went back home. I'm so tired of my mom driving me to school and everything, I can't wait to get my teleportation license. I can just pop in and out of school in a second like the high school kids. My sister came home from Life Skills 101 around 3. She needs to be careful because she’s gotten caught mistreating the dolphins and abusing teleportation rights and if she gets caught one more time, she’ll be exiled from Dolphin Island Paradise. We were very bored at home so we convinced mom to let us go to a Parade that was happening in the evening. It was so much fun! Everybody was socializing, celebrating and having a great time. We sang songs, ate all different kinds of food and I especially enjoyed story time with the elders. Also, Mom told us that our Uncle Bob is moving in with us, but we’re waiting for him to take the personality test first to make sure he’s suited for our island. He’ll most likely pass since he ALWAYS recycles, NEVER litters, LOVES dolphins and he always stress the importance of taking care of our responsibilities. I’m so excited and I can’t wait until he moves in.

Hey!
My name’s Tom and I’m 35 years old. I work here on the island as a civil engineer.I work seven hours a day, five days a week. Basically, my job here is to design, construct, and maintain large public works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. I also have to take the environment into consideration when designing and constructing. Environment is a huge part of our society. One of my biggest accomplishments is helping to design and construct the largest eco-friendly engineering building here on the island. I’m very proud to say that it is completed and it holds thousands of people. I took a picture of it to show you all. One of my proudest moment was getting my name put on the National Statue of Achievement. Other than my job, life here is great! There is so much to do here. The weather is always perfect to our needs and government cannot be any better than it already is. I just got off work and I am about to go snowboarding on the our tallest mountain and maybe I will get authentic rib eye medium well steak made specially by our famous cooks. My life is a dream come true.

Locate Seven Dolphins

Our human existence thrives for change and significant reconsideration. We need
to banish our old ways of greed and hate which have overpowered the happiness we pursue.
We have found a new way to assure this happiness and it is only right to explain this as
well as the reasons which compel us to do so. All men and women were born with equal rights
to live and to be happy. In order to maintain these rights democracy is placed into the
system where we, as the representative people of this society, vote on,organization and
principles. Mankind has suffered enough to understand that a change is absolutely
necessary and it is the right of the people by all means to relieve themselves from this
misery. The history of our past society is full of injustices and wrongdoings, leading
to our downfall. The following, states the reasons for our transformation.

The Government of the United States of America has allowed citizens to pollute the air and water
with harmful substances.

It used harmful weapons of destruction to create havoc and tension between
countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, further worsening our reputation internationally.

It created war with other countries as well as themselves

It let the country fall into poverty and failed to fulfill the promises it made

It destroyed the environment and all that it contains

It has created miles of landfill piled up, further creating pollution

It further contributes to global warming

It produces greed for money throughout the society by upholding an image
that power and money brings happiness

Its attempt to solve the problem of racism and prejudices were not effective

Its voting system does not represent the majority of the people,
depending on states won and electoral votes gained.

Its uses media to manipulate and hide the truth from the people

Its economy is unpredictable and out of control which has led to
repeating cycles of recession and eventually depression.

The United States is unfit to our needs and lacks the initiative to take action.
We have constantly tried to create new bills which would fulfill the needs of the
people. Unfortunately, these bills have never been passed to the president for
review and were lost in committee. They have been too ignorant to truly understand
the meaning of “United.” We must therefore separate from this society. Our connections
shall be dissolved and our island declared as an independent island. We are entitled
to make decisions which do not include the States’ consent. We honor and support this
declaration with our lives.

National Seal

The motto we live by is "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." We didn't like the former society we lived in so we demanded change and we got it. The motto promotes one to see the world for what it is and to figure out what is necessary to make it better. Then one should constantly be active to accomplish what she or he think ought to be done. Conflicting ideas may occur in such an idealistic society but that is why we also promote our citizens to be open-minded and to accept all perspectives.
